Great new website for wine fakes

This is a nifty new website designed to inform and battle the epidemic of fake high end wine. Most of the wine we drink, as Russel says is not faked but there is a small cadre of high end wines that are. Great vintages of Lafleur, Petrus, Mouton, Lafite, Romanee Conti, La Tache and Ramonet are most commonly faked but also one hit wonders like 1961 Latour a Pomerol, 1990 Beausejour Duffau-Lagarosse etc. have been known to have been falsified. French wines seem to be the number one culprit as they are by and far the most expensive. The website is worth a look. Famed collector Russel Frye who is an associate of Bill Koch set it up. Bill Koch, for people not familiar is suing infamous German collector Hardy Rodenstock about some fake bottles of "Jefferson Lafite." I will eagerly follow it over the next months as it gets more up and running. It is in a very early phase now but still has many cool tidbits on it. The website looks like it will be an invaluable resource in the very real battle against fake wine. Fake wine authentication website.

Latour a Pomerol has made another good wine or two.

True...but would they be faked as much as the 1961?

Can't wait to taste those Jeroboams of '45 Romanee Conti! Amazing what a little super glue, some worsestershire sauce, and Gallo Hearty Burgundy can do.....
