Well I will keep this short and sweet because the french keyboard is slightly different than the american keyboard and is annoying as hell. The trip has been amazing with so many great wines, great wine personalities, and breathtaking places. I will try and summarize in a nice short tidy stream of consciousness paragraph with no puncuation so i hope you can follow as they are charging me here per minute.
The natural wine fair at Deauville was great so many great wines and a chance to meet some of my personal wine idols and taste many cuvees I have never tasted before richard leroy marcel richaud rene mosse jo landron alice and olivier de moor anselme selosse to name but a few
food is great all over of course but the craziest saucisson experience i have ever had at georges descombes plus an awesone tasting and dinner there the beaujolais is breatakingly gorgeous you will never believe it till you come here great visits and tastings at desvignes brun texier and michel tete i ate too much at tete and got sick the next morning as he drove us through the vineyards and i missed the coudert visit ; ; ; ; ; ; shit happens
much more details when i come home and get to my normal keyboard so i have 14 visits in burgundy in three days my first time here to boot then off to germany on wednesday later
cool.

I like the Molly Bloom style no punctuation rush of words here... It suits your exuberance about wine really well Yes
ReplyDeleteI just came back from Beaune a few days ago and had a great time there. Enjoy yourself!

i hate French keyboards...
ReplyDeleteThanks for checking in! Looking forward to more of your travel and tasting stories in France and Germany!!!
ReplyDeleteOh yes, its so difficult to type on a French keyboard, it requires a slight amount more concentration than usual. But I guess that's why America is going down the tubes, because the challenge of a new keyboard has become like calculating the orbital trajectory of planets for the disciplined American brain.
ReplyDeleteYou can change to English on a French keyboard layout with Alt + shift or Left Alt + shift, provided that the PC is configured with English.
ReplyDeleteLook also for EN or FR in task bar in bottom righthand corner of window and click EN.
If not,
go to my computer,
go to control panel,
go to keyboard,
go to language,
choose add,
English US

Have a great trip and enjoy the sights, the vinous and gastronomic pleasures. It’s been years since my wife and I have been there, I return there only in my dreams.

Dude -- lucky you -- getting to go to the natural wine fair -- we were at Philippe Jambon's place just a day before he left for the fair..... (and by the way, we were indeed able to get all the wine home -- we found this wholesale-type store where farmers bought stuffs..... and found styrofoam packers for dirt cheap -- thanks for the advice.
