We are very very happy about that at Fass Selections so we happily pass along the savings, or in this case, stability in pricing along to you. Up first is Remy's high end Crozes, the Remy Nodin 2015 Crozes-Hermitage "Le Mazel," for as little as $23.99 on a 4-pack. The nose offers up pure and heavenly scents of raspberry and all types of dark red fruits. Well fruited nose but also intensely savory with some serious game and gravy notes. Floral as well after some time in the glass. The palate has that 2015 richness/freshness juxtaposition in full swing. My oh my is the first impression you get from this wine as it is so juicy and deeply fruited that is initially all you can wrap your palate around. But eventually you start to notice the wines intricacies and details. Lovely granite and crushed stone complement the deep and vivid dark fruits. Delicate and mineral, with exquisite delicacy this is beyond lip smacking. It will greatly benefit from age but will prove irresistible young. It will be one of this wines that can be drunk young and also aged.
God bless Remy Nodin for keeping the price stable because this is, one of the greatest values I will offer in 2015. Just a stunning stunning bottle of Crozes. He only made 2,500 bottles, but because I am so enthused with this wine, please email me for case pricing. Typically, after 2-3 years this wine gets going as the 2013 is mightily in the zone right now. It is aged for 9 months in 4 year old medium-sized oak casks that add texture and make the tannins just gorgeous; the wine does not taste of wood, just a component like salt in a great chef's dish. The tannins in this wine are super sweet and ripe. The vines are from the 80's and the wine is atypical for the appellation because it is just that good.
Up next I have the 2nd vintage of Remy Nodin's rare and extremely limited St. Joseph, the 2015 Remy Nodin St. Joseph "Guilherand" for as little as $27.99 a bottle. He only made 1,000 bottles in the 2015 vintage. As a result of the small quantities, I will not pump this up as much, even though it is as good if not better than the Crozes. The 2014 was sold out in a flash and this 2015 is that much better and will be allocated as need be. It has just again, unreal freshness and such deep fruit. The fruit here is darker and has wonderful licorice, prune and ripe and sappy blackberry. Man does this take over your palate with unreal silky texture along with such vivid almost black fruits but still with a streak of red in them. Just dazzling purity. The wine has so much granite infused minerality all over these slabs of dark fresh fruit it truly is an experience. The tannins are suave and silky and fan out on the ridiculously long finish. It has wonderful freshness, structure and depth.
And with that The Remy Nodin 15 reds are gone!
