This is not about wine but it did strike a chord with me as I have always believed the only way to run a succesful business is to treat your employees with respect and dignity and they will work hard for you. I do not care what anybody else says about "tough love" or any of that crap you need to treat your employees with respect. But too many people open restaurants and wine shops etc as an extension of their massive egos (apparently this Chow guy's ego is a doozy) and it gets more and more out of control as the business flourishes. I do not know the facts of the case but I have a sneaky suspicion that this lawsuit has merit and I hope it exposes some of the horrible treatment of people in the restaurant business and food and beverage business in general. Some of the allegations are truly outrageous.
Hope he has a good lawyer.
