the CDP, then $140-$200 for CDP Marie Beurrier, and $300+ for the CDP Celestins, not many people can experience the magic that these wines can offer. A friend was over recently, recounting his visit to Chez Bonneau and he said "and this one over here has been fermenting for 3 years, and it shouldn't taste good, but it does, and not just good, great, as only the greatest wines in the world taste." The cellar is famously not really clean and his winemaking is well, kind of in his own special way. It truly is one of the most unique wineries in the world. And my friend perfectly summed it up by saying they shouldn't taste good but they do.
And with that I am happy to offer the NV Henri Bonneau VDT "Les Rouliers" for as little as $34.99 on a 3-pack. This is a special bottle of Grenache. And many CDP producers could only hope to make a wine this good. It is a VDT because it is usually a blend of 2 vintages. It is from Gard, from a 2.3 hectare site that his son works. The final blend can also have some declassified Henri Bonneau CDP. So all in all you have a window into what Bonneau can do at the uber high end for $35 a bottle. Astonishing freshness, depth and complexity and a huge floral spice lift this into the level of extraordinary. I only have a limited amount so act fast on this one.
