Been a while . . .Here is a list of wines I have had recently . . .

. . . .but am too lazy to post full tasting notes......so here are some impressions.

'01 Messmer Burweiler Schawer Riesling Spatlese - More advanced than I thought. Full of fruit, hint of petrol. Beautiful.

'95 Bachelet Gevrey Chambertin 1er Cru "Corbeaux" - Big, chunky, rich, deep. Sweet fruit. Powerful Pinot but still light on its feet.

'90 Poujeaux - Pure and ripe. Slightly horsey. Pungent palate-staining fruit after and hour. Has many years ahead.

'04 Rivers-Marie Cabernet Sauvignon - Nose was typical milk chocolate and blueberry with a medicinal Cali Cabernet thing. Really dense, juicy and explosive on the palate. I liked this way more than I thought I wood.

'95 Bollinger Grand Annee - Had two bottles in a week. Both were brilliant. Big, intense Chardonnay driven Champagne. Minerally and palate staining. Has ages to go. One of the best '95's I have had.

'04 Fichet Meursault Tesson - Like the Bolly above without bubbles. More elegant and minerally. Super white Burg. Incredible balance and flavor intensity.

'01 Roumier Bonnes Mares - Structured, intense and ripe. Horsey with beautiful red fruit. Dripping with refinement and class even in this young state. Great every time I have had it.

'04 Raveneau Chablis 1er Cru Butteaux - Concentrated and waaaay young. But just so great tasting Raveneau again. Been too long.

'05 Dauvissat Chablis 1er Cru "La Foret" - This was screaming seashells by the seashore on the nose. Palate had great acidity and depth. Fantastic. Young but still has flesh and not lacking at all in Chablis character.
