Our Own Carolin Spanier-Gillot of Battenfeld Spanier Named German Winemaker of the Year

We received some very exciting news recently: Carolin Spanier-Gillot of Battenfeld Spanier was named winemaker of the year in Germany by the prestigious wine magazine Falstaff.

I've been banging the drum that Battenfeld Spanier is one of the best winemakers in Germany and I'm thrilled that you have all responded and made them one of our most popular producers.  The 2013 Hohen-Sülzen was our 2014 white wine of the year.

On a side note, Carolin Spanier-Gillot is one of the nicest people I've ever met and I couldn't be happier for her.
