Been a while

Been a while since I have posted. Not much to talk about. Second episode of Top Chef was last night. Watched most of it but missed out on who got eliminated. Getting good I must say and I really like Hung. He can cook real well and he has a ton of personality. Padma is amazing as usual. Funny with maybe the craziest body in cooking. I can't think of anyone better. Might not be blogging that much next week as I am taking the week off from work. But I will try and get on here as much as I can.

Did a blind Syrah tasting last night at PJ Clarke's with a couple members of my old tasting group and it proves you have to be soooo picky when it comes to Syrah. I liked one wine and hated the rest. More on that later. It was filmed for some lifetsyle website and that is about food and wine...but not marketed towards middle America like The Food Channel but more towards urban-snob-know-it-alls like me. I will post the link here when it is edited down.

Had the 2002 Luneau-Papin L d'Or last night and it was so closed it was not even funny. So much minerality. Like a quarry with liquid that was incidental. Will be great in 15-20 years.

Not in a ranting mood today just a Dragnet just the facts mood.
